Welcome Friends!
Due to the coronavirus, we are not meeting in person for now. However, there are many virtual ways to connect, including weekly virtual worship. Please email welcome@beaconhillfriends.org to join us!
Who are the Quakers
Quakers practice a religion of experience, a contemporary, simple, and radical faith. Quakers are also called Friends.
Quakers believe . . .
Every person is known by God and can know God in a direct relationship.
Many Quakers consider themselves Christians, and some do not. Many Quakers find meaning and value in the teachings of many faiths.
Quakers strive to live lives that are guided by a direct encounter with the Divine, more than by teachings about the Divine. Quaker terms for the Holy include God, the Seed, the Light Within, and the Inward Teacher, among others. Testimonies are ways that Quakers have found to express our experience of the Divine in our lives. Some of the best recognized testimonies include simplicity, integrity, equality, community, and peace.
We have resources that are for members and attenders of our meeting. Please request access by clicking on the Login/Sign up button below.

Accessibility
BHFM is working on making our historic space accessible to everyone.
Our primary entrance is up a flight of stairs and we have a sidewalk level entrance to the meeting room that can accommodate small and standard size wheelchairs (the turning radius is too small for large motorized chairs). On the meeting room level, we have a single-user, gender-free bathroom with wall-mounted handrails and ample space for chairs and/or aides. We are not scent free, but tend to be low-scent.
We have a FM audio system with headsets for sound amplification available at the main entrance or upon request.
First Day School (a program for youth)
A program for children 5 and older, offered two Sundays each month between September and June. From 10:45am-11:30am. Upcoming dates on our Youth at BHFM page.
Meeting for Business
Held each month from September to June, generally on the first Sunday of the month, after Meeting for Worship. Upcoming dates for Meeting for Business as well as other Meeting events can be found on our calendar page.
