BHFM Respiratory Virus Masking Policy
• We recommend that people attending Meeting for Worship wear good quality masks (e.g. KN95), but masking is not required.
• People should NOT attend worship in person if they feel sick. They should instead attend by Zoom. After you both feel better and have been without a fever for 24 hours, you can attend in person, but must wear a KN95 or better mask if it is within 5 days of feeling better.
• If people have traveled out of state, traveled internationally or had close contact with someone who has COVID in the week prior, you must wear a mask in Meeting. Again, if you have symptoms of a cold, you should NOT come to worship in person even if a COVID test is negative. You should instead attend by Zoom.
• People are strongly encouraged to get vaccinated if they are able.
• To facilitate the attendance at the Meeting for Worship of immuno-compromised people, a request may be made to the clerk of the Ministry and Counsel Committee, at least two weeks in advance, for a Sunday meeting where all attendees are masked. If no
impediments are seen, this change will be announced on the prior Sunday and on the meeting’s email list in the preceding week. Greeters will have sufficient masks at the door for all attendees.
We will have this policy posted on our website as well as at the front door for greeters to share with visitors.
This policy is in place for Meeting attendees during our worship and fellowship on Sundays. Please continue to be respectful of private resident spaces. If you must enter a residential space for any reason, there will be masks at each door. We will keep the air purifiers on in the Meeting room while we are using it and will leave them on after we use the space.
As the infectious disease environment changes, Beacon Hill Ministry and Counsel or the Beacon Hill Friends House may make recommendations for changes to the policy that will be brought to Meeting for Business for approval. If that is the case, we will notify the community through an email to the listserv, and we will post the updated information on our website and in the entryway to the building.
